Croatia

Greetings from Croatia to all the new and past visitors of this alluring part of Europe... Make your vacation a beautiful memory to think of when life gives you a ton of headaches to worry about. Take advantage of it and seize the priceless cultural and natural Croatian heritage - discover the endless beauties and classic tales that go with it... Frane (Frah-neh) is my name and I've been a licensed guide for the last 15 years: cooperating with many tour companies, and always open to new challenges. As a history professor in Croatia, my passion is history, and it's significate to the effects of modern life. My tours throughout Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Montenegro are all private with me as a driver/guide with private transportation. A family crossover (up to 4 participants) and if you are a small group, I will arrange sizeable and comfortable transportation with a professional driver. I'll be delighted to be your local connection with the outstanding legacy that Croatia has to offer in this time when tourism has to rise from its own ashes. Let's make a change together.

I am a tour guide and freelancer with a major in history from Zadar, Croatia. I am born in Zadar but moved to Korčula and stayed there from age 3-14. Then I moved to Split during high school. During study, I worked various jobs and learn graphic design which I did as a freelancer and also started learning 3d modeling. My thesis was Migration from Dalmatia in 1860. until 1918. I am interested mostly in social history, modern history, and migrations. I am learning Spanish and German in my free time because interest in exploring Latin America and Croatian communities in that area which was part of the research in my thesis. I worked in high school as a history teacher. I have some experience of working with people from many countries as I am renting rooms as a part of my house. I am also hosting people with Couchsurfing and Warmshowers. Currently, I am the most popular host on both platforms in Zadar. I have a certificate to work as a tour guide in Zadar county and a tour operator in the whole of Croatia from 2020. As a freelancer, I mostly worked with web and graphic design and recently 3d modeling. From September 2021 I have a certificate as Unity Programmer and Level Designer in Game and App Development. Currently I have two games published on Android and two on PC. Also I am travelling outside Croatia almost every year since I was 19 mostly by attending music festivals. I really like music so we can talk about that as well. Currently, I am developing one educational board game for Android. My walking tour is mostly history and art history oriented but I intend to adjust my walking tour depending on the people who booked it so I don't always go the same route. I am trying to make it a very complete experience in my beloved city. Feel free to ask me anything regarding my stay in Croatia as well. You have my contact.

Croatia

Hi, I'm Anita and I'm a tourist guide in Croatia. I have been working for years as a local tourist guide in Zadar and Sibenik, and as a tourist guide in Europe. Love for my country makes me do this job that I adore, and my happiness and greatest reward is when my guests return to my Croatia again. That means they are happy and feel nice here and that is my most beautiful reward. Certainly some of you have not even heard of Croatia. So I decided to invite you to this pearl of Europe and introduce you to this beautiful little country, but rich in cultural and historical monuments, national parks and nature parks. I am glad to be able to show you my little Paradise on earth. Join me. I'm sure you'll be fascinated by it.

Great Guide. Great Day!

Keiji was a very consistent communicator before the touring day and met me at my train exactly like he said he would. He had my name on the sign. He knows all the spots and the train/tram system and how to beat the lines at the Peace Museum. He was patient, informative and very pleasant to be with. We toured a garden (Shukkeien Garden) by the museum, took trams, fantastic local sushi spot for lunch, A-Bomb, Peace Museum and then to Miyajima Island on the ferry. Fantastic day and a very nice man. He has a good vocabulary in English. Things to note so as not to be surprised ~ It is custom to pay for the guides meals and treats and entrance fee/bus far etc. You will also pay about $5000 yen for his train ticket home again. So plan on spending extra money. The Ropeway on the island has the last up car around 3:15 or so (even though the hours say 4PM) so plan on leaving enough time for that. Keiji is a retired middle school teacher, a father and a husband. A very nice and positive person and he knows his way around. The Peace Museum and the A-Bomb site is very *hard* - so also going to the island where there are deer roaming and lots of food treats and a beautiful shrine is a good balance. The ferry ride is also lovely. And if you stay on the island til the evening you will see that gate all illuminated. ***** = five star review!

Dear Suzie, Thank you for your wonderful review. I also appreciate your enjoying the trip in Hiroshima. I will use today's experience in my next guide. Tomorrow's Naoshima is very famous as an island of nature, architecture and art, with the Chichu Art Museum and the Art House Project and so on. There is also a public bath called "I Love Yu", which is decorated with art inside and outside, so please enjoy it if you have the opportunity to go there. Thank you very much for today. Best Keiji

Truly our own way...

An excellent guide! We greatly appreciated Koji's flexibility to accommodate our particular interest in having help with practical matters such as getting metro tickets and JR bullet train reservations. He showed us how to use the metro while taking us to the most important temple in Tokyo. We greatly enjoyed his historical knowledge; especially when pointing out the significance of the small Shinto shrines we passed on our walk. He also took us through the fish market which would have been difficult without him.

David I'm blessed that I could share wonderful time offering an introduction tour on the first day of your long stay in Japan! If you need any information, I'm truly happy to help so please feel free to contact me anytime. Best, Koji

Tour in style and comfort

Yoshi: Our family had an incredible tour with Yoshi! Cruising around in his convertible Range Rover with the roof down was such a cool way to see the sights—it made the whole experience even more special. Yoshi was super flexible, adjusting the tour to include all the places we wanted to see, and he even went out of his way to take us to Osaka. One of the highlights was a sushi spot he took us to that was filled with locals, something we would’ve never found on our own. Yoshi was so sweet and made sure everyone in the group felt safe, especially my dad, who walks slowly. He was really patient and thoughtful the whole time. He also took some fantastic photos of us throughout the day, capturing great memories. Yoshi made the whole experience feel effortless, and we couldn’t recommend him enough!
