Would you like to have a private guide who caters to all of your needs when you are in Japan? I'm a professional, private guide in Tokyo and am committed to offering my guests a stress-free, enjoyable and memorable trip in which you can feel as if you are guided by a local Japanese friend with personal warmth and without any language barrier. Unlike fixed tours, you are free to change your travel plan anytime to cater more to your interest or to deal with unexpected situations. In any case, I'd be more than happy to help you to make your trip even better.
My name is Koichiro (my nickname is Koji!) and I've stayed in Southern California for 3 years and have graduated from an American college there. I am a licensed, professional English-speaking tour guide who loves having great time with people and would be truly glad to show you around Tokyo by sharing my knowledge and experiences as a professional guide and, more importantly, as a local. I'm more than happy to introduce you to hidden gems, authentic restaurants, and bars in Tokyo (Tokyo has the best food!).
I'd like to guide you as my real friend and will offer sheer hospitality and friendship to you so that you can truly value the moments in Tokyo. I'll explain Japanese things through the eyes of local Japanese so that you can have clearer ideas on what they really are.
I'd love to draw up your original travel plan and am always flexible to your request, so please feel free to message me for any questions/suggestions!
An excellent guide! We greatly appreciated Koji's flexibility to accommodate our particular interest in having help with practical matters such as getting metro tickets and JR bullet train reservations. He showed us how to use the metro while taking us to the most important temple in Tokyo. We greatly enjoyed his historical knowledge; especially when pointing out the significance of the small Shinto shrines we passed on our walk. He also took us through the fish market which would have been difficult without him.
David I'm blessed that I could share wonderful time offering an introduction tour on the first day of your long stay in Japan! If you need any information, I'm truly happy to help so please feel free to contact me anytime. Best, Koji
Koji was a good guide and built an itinerary to show us the highlights of Tokyo! We got to experience delicious Ramen lunch and a cool Sake tasting. Koji was knowledgeable about Japanese history, culture and details on all sites we visited. Great way to see and experience with a private guide!
Shari thank you for booking my customized tour and I'm glad I could guide you and Eric Tokyo by sharing great time, I wish you both have a wonderful trip to many parts of Japan!
He was very knowledgeable and adjusted the schedule to address our interests and needs. We experienced several key spots in Tokyo with him. We would recommend him.
Mark thank you for booking my tour and I'm glad I could guide some major spots in Tokyo!
We had a fabulous time in Tokyo. Our guide Shuji was excellent. Spoke very good English. Showed us as many highlights as possible. Took us around the subway system. Made our stay very pleasant. Highly recommend.
Rita the 2 days have been truly memorable and I'm glad I could be your guide in Tokyo as your last stop in Japan, taking you to best spots that only Tokyo has to offer! Getting to know other cultures, values and food has always been magical. Thank you, Shuji aka Koji
